Mark Portmann’s music has been heard all over the world.  He is an established and trusted professional with Oscar winning box office Movies,  over 300 major label album credits, 9 Grammy nominations, 10 writer ASCAP/BMI awards.  Mark’s credits as a composer include Hollywood Box Office movie trailers FIRST MAN feat Ryan Gosling, MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE FALLOUT feat Tom Cruise, DOLEMITE feat Eddie Murphy, BEN IS BACK feat Julia Roberts, DOWNSIZING feat Matt Damon, STRONGER feat Jake Gyllenhaal , AMERICAN SNIPER feat Bradley Cooper, THE FINEST HOURS feat Chris Pine and others. Recent projects include upcoming Adventure SciFi film score “A WORLD AWAY” featuring Rowan Blanchard.  Working directly with the likes Tom Cruise, director Curtis Hanson, Quincy Jones,  David Foster and others trust him with their music. Other credits incl theme songs and music for over 80+TV SHOWS/400+EPISODES of shows like “General Hospital, Beverly Hills Chihuahua3, Ghost Whisperer, One Life To Live, Young and the Restless, Las Vegas, Guiding Light, EXTRA, The Grammys, Billboard Awards and many more. 

As a music producer and writer, Mark has worked with some of the today’s best and brightest pop stars including Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and many more. In other genres, he has also worked with Christina Aguilera, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Diana Ross, Josh Groban, Luis Miguel, Chris Botti and Il Volo.  Starting out as a classical piano player,  Mark toured the world at a very young age with world class artists before moving to Los Angeles as session musician, arranger and producer.

As an arranger/orchestrator, Mark has worked with The London Symphony Orchestra, The Prague Symphony (over 40 recordings), The Hollywood Recording Orchestra and others. Mark also has worked with major film stars like Tom Cruise for the film “Rock of Ages” and Drew Barrymore for her performance in “Lucky You.” His very first recording session in LA was at the behest of mega-producer David Foster who chose him to arrange Barbra Streisand’s hit “Back to Broadway,” earning Mark his first Grammy nomination.
